It's Time for Something
Completely Different
"The trajectory of public policy in a
Millennial Era is becoming increasingly evident.
The push for an increasing number of national
standards and preferred behavior will no doubt
cause libertarians to decry the evolving “nanny
state” and argue strenuously against an
increasingly intrusive government. But if
liberals can give up their infatuation with
bureaucratic solutions and keep their focus on
using government to improve society without
building new administrative burdens, the public,
led by Millennials, will rally to their side. "

Millennials Are Looking
for Something Completely Different
"Millennials
are not interested in letting ideological
posturing stand in the way of “getting stuff
done,” as they like to say. Their generation’s
idealism – in sharp contrast to the more
ideological approach adopted by Boomers – is
characterized by a pragmatic impulse focused on
finding practical solutions to problems."

Millennial Makeover describes the major policy changes to
expect in areas from economics, to education, to health
care, the environment and foreign policy.
|

The financial system meltdown of September 2008 triggered the
“millennial makeover” predicted in the first edition of their
book. Millennial Makeover outlines how America’s government and
its politics is going to change in the years just ahead.
|
The first wave of the Millennial Generation, born 1982-2003,
provided the bulk of Barack Obama’s margin of victory in
November 2008 and marked the electoral realignment of the
United States from an idealist to a civic era. But the 2008
election is only the beginning of the makeover America is
about to undergo.
